Managing Director
Aaron Masterman is the Managing Director of HWC Hydraulics & Equipment and has been leading the company since 2016. A qualified Mechanical Fitter with decades of hands-on experience in hydraulics, Aaron combines technical expertise, practical problem-solving, and strong leadership to deliver reliable hydraulic solutions for clients across the mining, oil & gas, industrial, agricultural and marine sectors.
Unlike many directors, you’ll rarely find Aaron sitting behind a desk. He prefers being out in the workshop or on-site, working alongside his team, solving problems, and getting his hands dirty. Whether it’s diagnosing a complex hydraulic fault, designing a new system, or helping a technician track down the right component, Aaron is happiest on the tools.
Known throughout the industry for his extensive knowledge, Aaron has earned a reputation as someone who knows just about every piece of equipment, every hydraulic component, and every job inside and out. He’s a true “jack of all trades” who thrives on finding practical solutions, no matter how challenging the task.
Since taking over HWC in 2016, Aaron has transformed the business from a small local operation into a rapidly growing and highly respected hydraulic engineering company. His vision, commitment to quality, and focus on customer relationships have driven HWC’s continued expansion while maintaining the personalised service and reliability the company is known for.

Outside of his technical expertise, Aaron is well known for his wicked sense of humour and approachable nature. He enjoys building genuine relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues alike, making him a familiar face across the industry and someone clients know they can rely on.
With qualifications including a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade), QOF Master Fitter, Section 26 Statutory Responsibilities for Mining Supervisors, RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces, FOET with CA-EBS, First Attack Firefighting, HR Licence, Forklift, EWP, and White Card, Aaron brings both technical credibility and strategic leadership to every project.
Today, Aaron continues to lead HWC with the same philosophy he started with—deliver quality workmanship, support your people, look after your customers, and never be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
Operations Manager
Chris Sherwood brings more than 35 years of experience in the hydraulics, engineering, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. Throughout his career, he has held a range of senior leadership positions including General Manager, Operations Manager, Divisional Manager, Regional Manager, Branch Manager, Product Manager, and Business Development Manager, building a strong reputation for operational excellence, strategic growth, and customer-focused solutions. With an MBA and extensive experience leading teams and driving business performance, Chris now serves as Operations Manager at HWC Hydraulics & Equipment, where he plays a key role in supporting clients and strengthening the company’s continued growth.
Workshop Manager
Adam Heal is HWC Hydraulics & Equipment’s Workshop Manager, bringing more than 30 years of experience in hydraulic systems, heavy equipment maintenance, and engineering solutions across the mining, oil & gas, and industrial sectors. Throughout his career, Adam has held a variety of senior technical and leadership roles, including Leading Hand, Workshop Supervisor, Senior Hydraulic Technician, Branch Hydraulics Engineer, and Field Service Technician, developing a reputation for technical excellence and hands-on problem solving. With extensive expertise in hydraulic system design, fault diagnosis, component rebuilds, precision machining, and project delivery, Adam leads HWC’s workshop operations with a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement. His commitment to mentoring the next generation of tradespeople and delivering reliable, practical solutions makes him an invaluable asset to both the HWC team and its clients.
Workshop Manager
Reza Tezerji brings over 20 years of specialised experience in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, and industrial maintenance to his role as Service Manager at HWC Hydraulics & Equipment. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of senior positions including Field Service Manager, Workshop Supervisor, and Account Manager, leading teams and overseeing complex hydraulic and mechanical projects across the mining and industrial sectors. With extensive expertise in fault diagnosis, system optimisation, and heavy equipment maintenance, Reza has built a reputation for delivering practical solutions, developing high-performing teams, and fostering strong client relationships. His commitment to operational excellence and technical precision plays a vital role in HWC’s ability to deliver exceptional service and dependable results for customers across Australia.

Neville Baijnath is HWC Hydraulics & Equipment’s Engineering Manager, bringing more than 30 years of international experience in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, project management, and business development. Throughout his distinguished career, Neville has held senior roles including **Engineering & Project Manager, Business Development Manager, Mechanical Engineer, Product Sales Engineer, and Hydraulics Engineer**, successfully delivering complex projects across the mining, industrial, construction, and fluid power sectors.
