HWC Hydraulics & Equipment recently completed the design and supply of a remote Nitrogen Charging Station for a Ball Mill accumulator system.
The objective was to enable the nitrogen pre-charge pressure of five accumulators to be checked, recharged, or bled down remotely from a single operating station.
This solution delivers several key benefits:
- Eliminates the need for personnel to climb ladders or manually handle nitrogen cylinders at each accumulator.
- Allows all pressure checks and adjustments to be completed safely from ground level.
- Reduces maintenance time while improving efficiency and operator safety.
- Provides real-time monitoring of each accumulator’s pressure during Ball Mill operation, allowing early detection of pressure loss or potential system issues before they impact production.
Projects like this demonstrate how thoughtful engineering can improve not only equipment reliability and maintainability, but also workplace safety.
A great outcome by the HWC team, delivering a practical solution tailored to our client’s operational requirements.
